Cultural Relic Restoration Workshop
& Private Museum Tour
This activity will take students to the private museum of Dr. Lisa Chung, an expert in antique art authentication and restoration. Since this museum is not open to the public, ART LOOP is honored to be invited by the Hong Kong Traditional Culture and Arts Association for this unique opportunity.
Additionally, students will have the chance to participate in a cultural relic restoration workshop, allowing them to understand the processes and significance behind restoring cultural relics, thereby deepening their appreciation of Chinese culture. Dr. Lisa Chung has become an expert in the authentication and restoration of antiques and cultural relics. World-renowned museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Minneapolis Museum of Art in Minnesota, the National Palace Museum in Taipei, the Hong Shi Art Museum in Taiwan, the Hong Kong Museum of Art, the Fung Ping Shan Museum, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum, and other top international auction houses all have cultural relics restored by her skillful hands. This demonstrates that Dr. Lisa Chung is a world-recognized authority in the field of antique authentication and restoration techniques and is famous overseas.
For more than ten years, Dr. Lisa Chung has been working with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups to teach young people how to distinguish the authenticity of various antiques and cultural relics, the historical significance behind them, and the techniques for repairing cultural relics. Through these educational activities, she has fostered young people's interest in antiques and cultural relics, helping them understand China's 5,000-year-old culture and history.
是次活動將帶領學生們參觀 古董文物藝術鑑證及修復專家 張鍾麗裳博士的私人博物館，此館並不對外開放，ART LOOP很榮幸受到香港傳統文化協會邀請，得到參觀的機會，此外，學生們還可以參與修復文物工作坊，了解修復文物的過程及背後的意義，加深對中國文化的認識！
張鍾麗裳博士是古董文物藝術鑑證及修復專家，世界著名的博物館，如美國紐約大都會博物館、美國明尼蘇達州明尼阿波利斯博物館、台北故宮博物院、台灣鴻禧美術館、香港藝術館、馮平山博物館、香港海事博物館......等等以及國際頂級拍賣行，都有着經她的巧工妙手所復修的文物，足見張鍾麗裳在古董文物鑑證及修復的技巧領域是世界公認，國際一流水準的權威，名揚海外。
十多年來，張鍾麗裳一直與香港青年協會合作，教授年輕人分辨各樣古董文物的真偽，文物背後的歷史意義以及文物修補的技巧。多年來藉着這些活動教學，培養出年輕人對古董文物的興趣，從而了解中華五千年的文化和歷史。
